"!" Light came on.
Hey guys, what's up. I'm a proud owner of a iTouring Mazda3, 2010. I love my car, it's awesome. Last night, as I was driving home from work, a light came on in my car. It had an exclamation mark on it, and I don't know what it could mean. The car is very new, had it for just over half a year, and it doesn't have a lot of miles on it at all, it's just under 2500 miles.
Now, to be more descriptive, my car was parked outdoors while I was at work, and it was drizzling and raining very lightly most of the time, I was wondering if that could have contributed to whatever might have happened. If it helps, I can take a picture of the light later, the reason why I'm not checking my handbook for any information is because whoever went through my room took it and misplaced it somewhere, so I have to find it. -_- Please, if anyone has any kind of info at all, hit this post up, it would be greatly appreciated. |
I have my other car here at work today, so I can't run out and check to be sure, but I think you are talking about the tire pressure monitor light. If so, the TPMS is pretty sensitive, and just a few pounds down (or up) from factory settings will trigger it.

check the owners manual, there's a description of all the dash lights and some info on what to do to fix the issue.

the TPMS light on mine isn't just the "!" but there's a little emblem of a steering wheel next to it as well - which is the steering, or the TPMS.
The TPMS spec is 25% on either side of 32PSI, so 24-40PSI range. EDIT - my mistake on the above idiot light. There is a steering wheel emblem next to a '!' which is the EHPS power steering fault. The TPMS has a '!' with a cutaway view of a soft tire around it, sort of a U shape. |
