hood gets real hot

just had a quick question it may sound a little stupid but i have a 2009 speed3 and was just wondering if it is normal for the hood to get really hot after a drive. ive been noticing that after a normal drive the middle of the hood is extremely hot. not sure if this is normal any feed back would be appreciated.

Yes, that normal. You intercooler sits just below the hood.

Get an ETS TMIC from Protege Garage. I have the 3" .Really keeps its cool.
