I am soo sick and tired of 1 thing that my 3 does. If you have the same problem, I wouls sure like to know. Every single forsaken time I turn my car on and shift into reverse and start driving, my stupid tire pression dings at me. I have aired up my tires at the right pressure (with my gauge, so I know it was right), I have parked in the street so my tires were level all night long. I don't know what else to do to make that stupid ding stop dinging. Does anyone else have this annoying problem? I am so mad at it right now, I am about to start looking at a new car. It scares the shit out of me when I am driving on the highway and it just starts :rant: Let me know

Yes, I have gone to the dealer, I have threatened everyone every way possible with this stupid thing. I am trying now to find a way to cut that line, or do something to the fuse, but I dont want to hurt anything else. I just want the noise to go off. Any suggestions?

and you seriously don't think that I have tried that? Come on, I know I am a girl, but I am not retarded. I want to cut the line, but I don't know where to do it and don't want to cut anything else I shouldnt. That really doesn't say in the manual. Any other suggestions smartass?!

I am having similar problems, but it is because I have a very slow leak in my driver's side front tire. When it gets down to 28 PSI, the TPMS beeps at me.

What pressure do you inflate your tires to? I inflate mine to 32 PSI.

I would recommend taking your car into the dealership and having them check the TPMS sensors in the tires.

When I take my car in for it's first scheduled maintenance, I will have them fix the slow leak in my tire (usually unmounting and remounting the tire works) and checking to make sure my TPMS is working properly.

Just find whatever fuse powers it and pull it out. No more power for the tire pressure monintor. No more noise.

i think it would be better to get it fixed than to disable it myself... when working properly it CAN be helpful... i agree to check your tire pressure- my tires looked fine but were under 28 psi- my tpms went off one night and scared the crap out of me, now they're @ 32 and no problems

Well, I took my car to the dealer about the tire pressure monitor and they are full of crap. They said they can't cut the line since my car is leased. I would just have to deal with it, then they told me that the weather being so cold might have something to do with it. What do yall think? Is he full of it?

I dont have a 3 yet so i dont know how the 3's TPMS system works or what it shows you but tire pressure does go down when its cold. as you drive the tires heat up causing the air to expand and there fore pressure to go up. With the TPMS telling you theres a problem have you verified that he pressure is actually low?

VosKuil... did you check the pressure with a known good guage? How do you know it's right? Try another one. I had one that I thought was accurate but when compared with others - it was way low (off my more than 5 psi) ...

Voskuil - when you're reasonable sure you have a good guage ... let out the air to the point where the TPMS indicates a fault -- take another reading -- if the TPMS is out of whack - the dealer must fix it under your warrantee. If he won't - try another dealer/mechanic.

My dad had a machine and used it, and so far it has worked. The TPM would not go off in the dash, but it would not sound off. Now that I aired up the tires, it went off and everything is good. Now, if I could only shut the seatbelt sound off!!! That's kinda a pisser too!

Haha. The seatbelt sound can be anoying but I think it should be. If it wasn't then why would it be any good? With it being anoying it forces you to put a seatbelt on which is for your safety and isn't uncomfortable.
