HID headlight conversion?
So first off, I should let it be known that I am in no way saavy in the art of car mechanics. Now that that is out of the way, I'll get on to my post.
I own a 2009 Mazda 3 HB, and I am interested in converting to HID headlights. I would like to have high and low beams, unless it is silly to have HID high beams. Just a few questions; Is it as simple and switching out the bulbs? Would it be good enough to just change out the bulbs with the kit, or should I do the projectors and lenses as well? Are there any suggestions of kits? And being non-mechanic saavy as I am, would it be something that I could do myself, or would I need to take it to a professional? And what is the price range for a decent to awesome kit? Again, I am completely new to all things car mechanical related, as this is only my second car, and my first was a 2000 ford ranger. So I'm asking for all of the help and suggestions that I can get. Thanks!! |
