ok so i'm a girl and i need some help cause i know nothing about cars, but i got some blue headlights that are what i needed for my lows which are H7's. but the prongs on the blue ones are smaller than my normal ones and won't fit in the plug. so i bought a connector for them and the connector won't fit the bulbs either. so any ideas or what kind of connector i should buy?

Dont know about the connector, however I have blues in my lows. I can pull em if ya want and get brand, part number, etc. if ya think it will help.

yes thank you that would be very helpful. so you got your headlights and you didn't have to have a connector or anything? they just fit alright like normal?

The connector being different is a sign that it's not the right bulb for the application. Could be the wrong wattage or need a different position in the housing to focus properly. I'd get a lamp with the proper connector on it so you don't have other issues in the future.

There's a black adapter attached to the OEM lamps you removed. Remove it from those and plug it onto your replacement lamps.

I thought you were just changing the low beam bulbs so they were blue. I didnt realize you are installing aftermarket lights.

My lows are blue though and my fogs are Hellas w/ION CRYSTAL PIAA bulbs so they are yellowish and they operate off OEM switch w/just marker lights on and they stay on w/the brights. Many others as well I'm guessing. I'm a noobie on the sight but I like what I've seen so far.

ok so i looked it up and it says i need H7's for my low's and thats what i thought i bought but they don't fit? am i missing something? or are they wrong?

well i don't know anything about that stuff. i just bought some blue headlights and i tried to put them in they just won't fit. the prong is too small so someone told me i would need a connector so i bought some and they don't fit either.

Well now that you have the light out (or can get it out), bring it to the store to make sure you get the correct style.
The H4 may be the high beam and you want the low, double check your owners manual if you didn't already. There should be no need for buying a connector unless you're buying the wrong bulb.
Some aftermarkets are not only a different color, but also a 70W bulb instead of a 55W bulb for example... this compensates for the color which is less efficient (due to them coating the bulb, blocking some colors to make it look blue). Though that 70W can also melt the light housing it's in...

so what like an auto parts store or something? and i looked it up on google and the manual in my car and it said H7 for my lows and thats what i bought. i mean its what the product says on it but the bulbs just won't fit.

yep, hit up an autozone or walmart and see what bulb types match the connector of your stock one.

Part number would def be in book at parts store as mentioned above I would have to think. H7 sounds right to me.

H7 HIPRO POWER 100W12VDC for low
9005 HIPRO POWER 100W 12VDC for high

Read my post above. Attached to the lamp you removed is a black plastic adapter. The H7 lamp plugs into the adapter, and the prongs on the adapter plug into the wiring harness on the car. The spacing and size of the prongs are different between the lamp itself and the adapter.

So remove the black adapter from the lamps you removed and plug it into the new blue H7 lamps you bought.
