It's not uncommon for any older headlights to get oxidized over their life. You have a few options. You can use some mild polish and get some of it out. You can get a restoration kit like the 3M one and wetsand them. You can take them to a body shop and have them professionally polished and painted.

Honestly I'd check with body shops around your area for what they'd charge. They'll do a much better job with the proper tools and compounds and get a great clear shine on the housings. After that they can spray a UV resistant clear coat to help prevent UV damage to the plastic since any sanding, etc. will remove the factory coat. Without a coating they'll just oxidize again and you'll be back where you started out.

I've heard people be quoted as little as $40/headlight, so shop around.

Alright thanks I will look around but I just found my headlight out n my retaining clip just broke heard that's a fairly common Mazda problem gonna look around a couple of junkyards for a replacement since the Mazda dealer wants me to buy a whole new headlight

I've good luck using the Meguiar's headlight restoration kit.

Here's an after pic of a friend's Corolla.

The only problem is that they get dull quickly again so you have to re-do the process again in a few weeks or months.

I'm gonna say screw it and get a set of new headlights. What kind would look good with a set of yellow fogs? And what site should I get them off of?
