Header question...

ok so my obx headers came today for my mazda3 2.0

I was having a look, and it looks like when i mount these on, the bottom of the header will be pointing the opposite direction from where my exhaust is... any answers to this?? i know i have the right header....

njaremka Aug 16, 2007 06:51 AM

kargoboy Aug 16, 2007 09:38 AM

Are you sure you didn't buy the Protege 2.0L header?

dentinger Aug 16, 2007 10:54 AM

You ordered or they shipped the wrong header. That picture from vibrant is wrong, too. Maybe a standard stock photo?

macdaddyslomo Aug 16, 2007 04:50 PM

looks correct to me, looks like you are just missing the flex pipe protion of the header

JoshP5 Aug 16, 2007 05:06 PM

Huh? It's correct if the exhaust is to flow out the front of the car. After the tubes merge, it should curve back under the engine.

kargoboy Aug 16, 2007 05:12 PM

The exhaust header is in the back of the engine bay! It's fine, it's the right piece.

J-Protege Aug 16, 2007 05:20 PM

^^^ Which makes your shiny new 3 header almost invisible once installed :D

CUL8TER Aug 16, 2007 06:17 PM

It probably doesnt work to well mounted to the intake.

amsgator Aug 16, 2007 07:36 PM

might want to clean it before you put it on or you will have fingerprint burn marks all over it
