Fuel Efficiency For Mazda 3 2008?
Hi
I recently bought a Mazda 3 2008 4 door sedan(Automatic Transmission). I also recently bought a GPS. Once of the features of it is to keep track of fuel and give you a ball park of how much a trip cost. I had to plug in the profile of my car(how many liters it uses per 100km for city and highway). However when I did the conversion I went took the U.S MPG and converted it to liters per 100kms. I now found out that U.S Gallons are smaller than Canadian Gallons. So from what I read the Mazda 3 has 24 MPG U.S for City or 28 MPG Canadian Gallons. Now I tried to convert those numbers and seems like every converter or article I read that did the conversions says a different number. I seen 9.8 L / 100 km 8.1 L / 100 km 8.4 L / 100 km So I am wondering does anyone know what the actual rated Liters per 100 km for my car is (both city and highway). I realize this will probably be different from what I actually get but at least I will have a starting point that I can change later on once my GPS has enough data to work with. For now this is more this is what my car is rated and later one I will switch it to my actual numbers. |
why not measure it yourself... top up the tank, reset the trip odometer, drive, fill up the tank again - then divide the trip reading by the amount of fuel added... simple.
