DIY: DRL Fogs, Yellow Bulbs, and Yellow Tint/Vinyl

Hey guy's, brand new to the forums. After owning my 2007 MS3 GT for a little under a year now, I felt it's time to stop beating around the bush and sign up. For the time i've owned the car, almost all of my questions could be answered by a quick search, however, these three have kept me looking for days on end now.

Question one, I plan on running HELLA XY 55W 9006 bulbs in my fog lights, for various personal reasons. Have any of you had any personal experience with these bulbs, thumbs up or thumbs down? Does anyone else recommend different bulbs, and why? I'm not looking for something that requires a ballast, I JUST want to replace the bulb.

Dos, I can't seem to find a definite reason to chose vinyl over a canned-spray when it comes to making the lens itself yellow. I've done minor research, and I believe the only options are a Vinyl 'film', or (correct me if I'm wrong) stain-glass window spray? Once again, anyone have personal experience with either, and do they suggest one over the other?

Lastly, the DRL fog lights everyone seems to want. I've seen so many different answers, but none that are niche to my specific car. I've seen people say that strictly 07's are different from the rest of the Gen1 cars (08/09). I've also heard people state that the GRANT TOURING PACKAGED OEM XENON HEADLIGHTS cause issues with some of the methods used for NON GRAND TOURING PACKAGED HEADLIGHT'S. Flickering of the Xenon's, blowing a bulb, frying a wire, etc, etc.
What is a relatively cheap and EASY method that will work for a 2007 SPEED 3 WITH the GRAND TOURING package, AKA Xenon headlamps?
Mind you, I've NEVER tampered with circuits of ANY kind before, so if there's a guide somewhere, pictures would be a massive help.

Thank you in advance to any/all replies!

-Cameron
