crash sensor recall
 

I'm a new owner of a 2004 Black Mica Mazda 3 hatch, purchased new. My car is listed for a "crash sensor" recall. Anyone know what that involves? Anyone had it done? I'm hoping the dealer took care of it before delivery, but would like to know more about it. Thanks!

PS: just found a site with some recall details, but under another name for it - - is this the airbag sensor recall, dealing with a possible crack in the sensor housing? If that's the one, then presumably one would know there is a problem if the airbag warning light goes on and stays on, so at least there's some notice of the problem.

BTW - - love the car, so far! It's so much fun to drive :nod:

yes .... that's the recall ... had my "air bag sensor housing" replaced back in July/Aug 2004 .... took about 25 mins at my dealer ... had a coffee, read the paper .... and now no more sensor light problems! painless really.

and yes ... fantastic car. fun as hell to whip around in.

What was your VIN NUMBER? My dealer says ONLY 2 cars were recalled?
