Beefed up 2.3L engine?

-I was checking out an article in Import Tuner (or some sport car mag.) the other day about the newly unveiled MazdaSpeed 6 that debuted in Japan a month or so ago...

The article said that the new 6 featured the 2.3L engine found in the 6i and the 3s. The only difference was the addition of a "surprisingly small turbo charger" good for quick revs, and a modified direct fuel injection system. The author stated that the sport sedan cranked out roughly 276 hp ( :blue: ) when dyno tested.

If this is true, could a few *pricey* mods be all I need to add an extra 100+ hp to my mazda 3s? I'm not saying I would do anything like this when I just bought the car a month ago. I just want to know what anyone has heard......

yeah, thats the mazdaspeed 6 engine....direct injection and a nice twin scroll turbo. Top mount intercooler, AWD 18" rims, 6spd manual....
almost as slow as the 6S 5-spd.....the new MS6 is VERY heavy and AWD really sucks up the power.

I'd wait and invest your money in the HiBoost turbo kit. Early tests have put down 245whp @ 7psi.....thats more power than an Evo8.
