Bad transmission in 08 Mazda 3 hatchback..recall?
 

I know there have been a ton of posts about this same issue, automatic transmission sticking from 1st to 2nd gear and jerking forward when shifting, reving high, etc.

Took it to the transmission shop and got a $1900 estimate for a total transmission rebuild because of the servo ..the shop says in all the Mazdas they have seen the servos are bad and need to be upgraded.

My question is does anyone know if this is in the process of being a recall from Mazda or where we can report these issues to? The dealership I bought it from is less than willing to do anything so I'm trying to go above them if possible.

This is such a frustrating issue for a relatively newer car with only 70,000 miles, from what I've read it's happened in newer models with even less miles.

My Friend, I have the same issue with my Mazda 3 HB, 4speed with 80K. Wayne mazda said is a TCM problem, they will change it for $900, but also said It may or may not fix the problem. If it doesnt I nned new Transmission for $3000. Crazy no? waiting for a recall
