I really didnt post anything to tick anyone off but u dont go dissing everyone just cuz they are a bit new and is not "educated" in a lot of stuff like this. this is why i started with a QUESTION. I did find alot of cool people here tho so yal are all good. thanks for the help (to those that were actually helpful)

First, please watch your language. Second I have JOB. It puts me in front of a computer all day. I am a moderator here because I CAN check the site on a regular basis. Third of all, you have no business trying to "drift" ANY car if you feel you need lots of time behind the wheel of the car before feeling comfortable in it. Finally, while I am not a proffesional race car driver, I have taken driving schools, Went to the track and actually drag raced, and raced solo II autocross before.

So um, how DOES that foot taste.

lol sorry but i always wanted to use that smiley, second, i have a job like that too, its boring. also ive been tearing up parking lots since i was 14 in a little cavalier. then i upgraded to borrowing my uncles 69 camero ss 396 big block (talk about a beast) but then he sold it :'( but i may not have "proffesional schooling" but i got the best kinda schooling out right now, its called being street smart. i mean we dont have tracks here in arkansas, drag strips maybe but no tracks. so we learn by other means, we go get beat up old cars, tune em a bit, then go have fun on abandoned parking lots, can anyone relate?

anyone who let you drive a 69 Camaro SS 396 to "tear up parking lots" is insane.

lol no, actually its really awesome, my uncle never took care of it and it got rusty in spots but he said if we take care of it we can borrow it until he sells it. ill put a picture of it l8er but im not on my home computer right now. i promise u, that thing was a beast and u cannot tell me u never wanted to just have a joy ride in one b4. the only problem is the gas milage, the gear ratio was 4:10 meaning hardly any gas milage. but its blue with 2 white racing stripes down the middle, the guy that owned it b4 had NOS in it, but its removed, still had the button and the racing shifter in it (name brand was star...something cant remember. Radio didnt work, well it did get this one bluegrass country station. It had so many problems i couldnt believe my uncle get it in that bad of a shape, the radiator fluid was leaking, half the sparks were shot, we finally got it in running shape and had great fun with it, we dragged down streets, did donuts in parking lots, even drove in Homefest (Bald ****) parades. talk about a head turner tho. we got pulled over 2 or 3 times cuz the officer wanted to "take a look" lol

Just keep the racing to the track. If you feel you want to practice drifting, do it in a COMPLETELY empty parking lot at least if not someplace that's sanctioned to do so.

Be safe.

I'm not trying to be a jerk, I just don't want to read about you getting killed doing something stupid. We DID have that happen to a fellow Mazda driver !

wow really? ya i understand, we have this old harvest foods parking lot that no one uses except to do stuff like that, no lightpoles, the building is boarded up the only people u see is maybe a bum if ure lucky, and other people that like to hang out just to have fun. we have "legally obtained " traffic cones that have gotten ran over countless times there. its pretty cool, the closes thing ude ever find that can be a track. i may put a pic of that on there too if i can find one. thanks for the concern sorry for being accusing and stuff. its all allaight.

This is probably a stupid question, but mazda 3 isnt a vtec, is it?
