anyone else disappointed with titanium grey?

Saw a Mazda3 GS sedan at the local dealer this weekend, in titanium grey. I must say, I was a bit disappointed. Maybe it was just the lighting (or lack thereof) but it seemed to have a bluish tint to it. I was hoping it would be closer to Volkswagen's silverstone grey (Passat color).

I'll have to see how the blue and red look.

Grey on any car is fucking gross. See any performance cars that are grey? Didnt think so....cause grey is fer rental cars and people that think they know shit when they drive a convertible or a fucking POS mustang. pick a real color like black or red...or blue. Yellow screams performance....

i think he means the gunmetal color
and umm i know a LOT of preformance vehicles with that color
and its prolyl the lighting because it looks sooo sick up close in the sunlight.

Silver is the most popular color and has the highest re-sale value. Light colors are better at hiding scrathes, dings, and they dont rust as fast because they dont attract the heat as much, like black.

And mustangs rule.

Speaking of silver cars....

The M3 is here! Picked it up last nite, and everything went smooooooth. Other than the unexpected additional 2 week wait.. the car is every I imagined.

Handles a lot better than the day I test drove an auto 4door. And the Xenons kick ass!

Well I thought the Titanium looked great myself. I bought a 3s Titanium sedan this very afternoon. I kept my 2001 Protege LX at least for now, and of course my Kenne Bell supercharged '01 Miata is a keeper forever.

I am very impressed with the 3. It is the first automatic I have owned in a long time, but with the strong engine and the Sport AT feature I will have to watch that I am not bouncing it off the rev limiter too often.

Even with 55 series all season tires the car handles great. My Miata will leave it in the turns but I have 215 40 series tires on it, and the torque at 9 psi intercooled makes it very easy to shift the weight on the car. Still I was only down a couple of MPH on my favorite turns and I don't know the 3 yet.

The 3 has only the slightest touch of torque steer and very little body roll.

Bravo Mazda you have a winner.

Now to watch for a good intake and exhaust. I am interested to see dyno numbers for the 2.3. I guess I need to find a Mazda 6 forum.

After the break in... ill definately be in the market for intake/exhaust.

Im hoping the Greddy turbo will be ready by Spring/Summer. If not, good ol' laughing gas will do the trick.

Huuuummm I guess all those grey BMW's, Saab's, Acura's, etc, etc. are not performance cars. I will let them know!

Silver/grey

Just to point out that silver/grey is the German national color for its racing cars, just like red for Italy and green for England.

The Ferrari F355 looks awesome in silver.

I allready have the Titanium M3s Hatch and it wasn't my first choice, I wanted winning blue, but got stuck with Titanium (my second choice) and it is a hella tight ass color evryone that looks at my car loves the color they said it looks sick. and it gleems in the sun. And it really doesn't matter what color your car is when the other person you are racing is looking at the ass end of your car

I love the titanium color. It did appear to have a bluish tinge to it, but my wife and I both thought it looked stunning. I was our first choice, but we got the shimmering sand color instead -- she likes that a lot too.
