3 into the ditch

Ok, so tonight my mum drover her mazda 3 into a ditch. I don't really know how exactly, just that it was low speed, and she was trying to turn around. It was sunset, so light was decieving, it as deep soft snow, and the ditch was apparently really steep. Some dude with a truck and tow straps got her out using her rear tow hook, and it appears the only damage was to the black thing just underneath the side panel, some minor scuffing, and maybe a little deformed. now, there is a metal thing under there, around the exhaust, looks kinda funny..I'm gonna go and try to take a picture to see if I can show you what I mean...and see if you can tell me if it should look differently or not. I was amazed that, not only did nothing appear to be damaged anywhere on the car except for this little scuffing, and questioning the metal thing, but like, not even a scratch on the front, where she says it hit ice at the bottom, and the alignment isn't even out at all. Like the car was smooth when I took it for a little drive to listen for any funny sounds, or a different ride than before...it was smooth as ever, and no vibrations up to 140km/h, and no more noise than normal really. I'll go take those pics now, and hopefully you can help me.

Here's the first few pics, as you see, that little black chunk really took the brunt of the force, which is good, cause that means it did it's job, and saved the car from body work. Not a scratch on the paint itself, just these black runners underneath, mostly driver side. The metal thing I refer to, is the silver coloured thing...doesn't seem to be sitting right. Maybe it's just me though

Yeah, she called me right away, and she scared me abit, cause these where her first words"hey, can you come out here"
me:Why? Whats up?
Her: I broke the car
Me:WHAT!?
her: Well, i was turning around, and I kinda misjudged the ditch cause it was decieving..and I kinda just slid in
me:how bad?
her:I'm pretty sure the fronts fucked up, but it was low speed so me and your sister are ok.
me: well thats good, hope the car is as unharmed.
her:theres this guy here now, he says he can pull the car out, he says he has a towing strap, can I let him pull the car out?
me:yeah, just make sure he used the big tow hook
her: yeah, he can already see it he says.
me:ok, let me know how it goes then, I'll let ya go so you can help and stuff, make sure you put the car in nutreul.
her:her, K, later.
Turns out, cause of how steep the ditch was, which was about this / the car wouldn't come up right away, and slid sideways a few feet, since he couldn't pull straight, or he'd go in the ditch on the other side. She said she heard it scraping, and was worried, and then to make things worse, the snow in the underbody was really loud on her way home apparently, and she said it sounded like she had a body stuck to the underside of the car...I then asked how she knew what that sounded like...and got punched in the arm and called a smart ass...lol. Turns out all seems fine right now, but still gonna get her stealership to check it out.

I'm not an expert, but it doesnt look so bad when I compare it to mine. As the above poster said, bring it to the dealer and they'll let you know.

"and she said it sounded like she had a body stuck to the underside of the car...I then asked how she knew what that sounded like"
