2012 mazda3 battery cable issues
So im having issues with the cables coming off of the positive side of my car battery. the right one is fine but the left cable is fried. there is smoke coming off it when its running and is emitting a smell thru my vents. before i notice this my car wouldn't start and i jumped it and immediately went and bought a new battery, it was fine for 4 days then i went to start it again after it being idle for 2 days and the battery was dead again. I've taken it to several places and called several places including the mazda dealership whom were not helpful at all even tho i told them the exact part and location. Monroe had my vehicle for 3 days just to tell me they couldn't fix it. they said it was an electrical issue and that they spoke to dealership and that i would have to replace the whole wiring harness instead of just the burnt cable and quoted the PART ONLY for 900-1000. mind u this car is only 4 years old w 38000 miles and I've only had it for just over a year. of course they tell me i have no warranty left either but no one seems to know what to tell me...anyone having similar issues with cables coming off positive side of battery?
