Denver. It's one of the seemingly endless fees that dealers like to charge to up their profit after a price is agreed upon. (destination fee, dealer prep fee, handling fee, etc.....) most savvy customers are quick to ensure that the final price includes those add-ons, but if you're not careful, a $20000 hanshake quickly turns into $21500......

I am also sporting the new red. LOVE IT!

NY we have destination fee, must be up front I think NY law after negotiation add sales tax dmv fees and 45.00 dealer fee for setting up dmv That can be negotiataed also. Love the red was not to sure about the interior but it does work.

Depending on your driving habits, you may not get much better. If I recall correctly, the 3 is rated for 24/33, so if you have a lead foot or do mostly city driving, you're right on track. You could look at an engine and exhaust mod and a CAI to a perfoance and mileage boost though. I'm new to Mazda and I haven't looked into how large a difference that could make....

Also consider using top tier gas if you aren't already. A list of qualified retailers as well as a thorough explanation are available at www.toptiergas.com. Although open to debate amongst some people who swear by "discount" gas, I have had a lot of success with shell. My wife's trailblazer runs better and actually gets a 1-2 mpg boost on their gas.
