Need help
Hi all,
First timer on this forum Not sure where to look? I'm due for new tires and want to get new rims as well on a Mazda3 2007 Sedan If I go 17s would it be better to go 17 or 17x5? And what would be the best tyres to go? 205? Any help would be much appreciated:winky: |
A little impatient aren't we? The forum is not so active that you can expect to always get instant same day answers. And perhaps as you are, like me, also in Australia members from other countries may feels that the tyres and wheels available to them may not be so readily available in Au. But I am here on behalf of my son whose 2010 BL 2.5 SP I look after but so far there no reason yet to consider replacing wheels or tyres on his car.

A lot of guys go 17x8 , up to 18x8.5" There are a lot of factors when choosing new wheels. Pay attention to offsets and remember the rule of thumb when buying wheels:
Light, Strong, Cheap. Pick two, because you can't have all three. The lug pattern on your car is 5x114.3, your stock rims are most likely 17x7" (not sure which 3 you have, the Mazdaspeed3 has 18x7" wheels) and the offset of the stock wheels is around +50 or so. Sorry for the late response. This place is pretty much dead. If you hit google, I'm sure it can take you to one of the more popular Mazda clubs that have tons more traffic. |

I've got the Mazda 3 2007 Neo Back in the days I had 18's and they were comfortable as on the roads then I downgraded to 17s and somehow they feel like crap on every bump The tyre person was shocked when I told him I had 18s and I loved them |
