Mazda 3 remote stopped working after re-programming
Hi,
My remote's "Lock" button didn't work. I opened it and saw that the button wasn't soldered to the board. I'm an experienced electrician so I soldered it back, but it still didn't work. The only button that worked was the "Unlock" button. I tried to reprogram it according to the instructions I found on this forum and now it doesn't work at all! I tried changing the battery - didn't help either. The weird thing now is when I try to enter programming mode, the car doesn't lock and unlock when opening the door for the 3rd time anymore. Instead it locks and unlocks (twice) when I close the door for the 4th time. To wrap up how I initially tried reprogramming it: 1. Leave driver's door open 2. Enter key to ignition 3. Switch key On & Off 3 times 4. Close and open the door 3 times, leaving the door open 5. The car locked and unlocked while the door was open 6. I pressed the remote's Lock button twice and it seemed like the car responded by locking and unlocking 7. I closed the door and tried to press the buttons again while the key was in the ignition and nothing happened. Then I retried the whole process again only that step 5 changed to this: 5. The car DID NOT lock and unlock while the driver's door was open 6. I closed the door and only then the car locked and unlocked twice while the door was closed! So it seems like something got screwed up... any ideas? |
