Maximum rim size for my 3??

What is the maximum rim size for my mazda 3 active sedan?
The size is now 205/50/17.
On a other website they say 225/40/18.
How many can i lower the car then??

I know on 18s you can still lower the car a good 60mm. The wheel size doesn't really have an effect on how much you can lower, as long as you don't get tires crazy wide that will rub the fenders or struts (as 225s might depending on how wide the wheel is).

the widest rim you can go is 18x7.5 IIRC, unless you find a 18x8 rim with the perfect offset (look at the rx8 rim specs)
and if u go 18x7.5, the widest tire u can go is i believe 215

This is a reaction off a gay from the www.torontomazda3.ca.

MS3 wheel - 18x7 +50/52mm I think

My setup:
wheel size - 18x8
offset - +45mm
tires - 225/40/18 Fuzion ZRi (no rubbing since day 1, I'm not joking, had it on for 3 months)
springs - Tein H-tech

You meant you wanna lower your car and buy new rims, or lower it with the stock rims? stock rims will be fine unless you slam it really low

nah, im on TM3 more than any other forum.....

if i have to, i might just get prokits or H-techs instead, less of a drop, and more clearance for big wheels....

Thank you in advance

there is no way you are running a 245 wide wheel...
IIRC, with no drop, the widest you can go is 235, but ur offset needs to be mint.

I've got 18X7 inch Kyowa racing wheels with P215/40R18's. Before this tire size I had p215/45R18 which is almost the same O.D. of a factory P215/5017. It's been dropped with Eibach pro racing springs and has no trouble with either set of wheels under the car. The drop is 1 1/4 in. (front) and 1 1/2 in (rear).

Just a question. How do the 225 45 17's ride. I thinking about puttin them on my car. I need new tires already at 18k.
