brought them home last night and did a quick clean going to really scrub them down tonight......


does any one have a set of either 205 or 215/45 or 55/17 used tires....

if those are 17" rims, stick with a 50 series tire. thats the stock size, which mean it wont throw off ur speedo

Swapping to a 45 series won't do anything to the speedo as long as you do it correctly. I went from a 50 series to a 45 series on a Civic I had at one time and it didn't do anything to it. The way to do it is this; say for instance you have a 215/45R17 tire and want to go to a 50 series then bump down to a 205/50R17. Just reverse this to get to a 45 series tire. If the stock size is 205/50 jump to a 215/45. Just make sure you're matching correctly or you will have some speedo issues. I learned all this from being in the used tire business in the ghetto for about 6 years. Haha.

shits funny but yea the centercaps have been removed...rims are being sanded tonight and tomorrow have 1 that needs repaired getting that done asap as well but now the decision is do i paint them and if so what color...or chrome them????

btw.......my stock rims are 15 not 17's so my speedo will be off no matter what almost but i think im goint to try and cop the spedo gears out of the 3s which comes stock with 17's so that will solve my prob.....if not ill just deal with it

just make sure the diameter of the tires is the same as stock, then no problems.

Speedo won't be off if the overall size is the same. I have 15 inch winter rims with 4 inch tires, and for summer 17's with 2 inch low profiles.

It's the same 19'' diameter with either tire, so no speedo problems.

where are you located? ive got some bfgoodrich g-sport, 215/45-17. my prob is my wheels got major fscked and i'm debating whether i should repair them or not since i'll be moving soon. so now im GI on these. the tires are still good, no leakage and the guys at NTB say theyre still good. i barely put 500 miles on them so theyre just about broken in.
