Alignment problems

Whats up? I recently put some Eibach Pro-kit springs on my wifes 05 Mazda 3S. I took it in to the local tire shop to get aligned, when they were done with it, the car still had a pull to the right. Not a terrible pull, but enough that its pretty annoying. I called them up and the guy there said that it was a caster problem, and that it cant be fixed/adjusted on the Mazda3. This sounds like BS to me, I've never heard of an "unalignable" car, I've owned 5 lowered cars and all have gotten aligned with no problems. Has anyone else run into this? Could the dealership line it up for me? The factory Goodyear RSAs are already smoked (~20K miles) but I dont want to ruin the next set of tires that go on it.......

If they say that they 'couldn't do it' or it was 'unalignable' then get your money back from them and bring the car elsewhere. I've never heard of a car being 'unalignable'.

I haven't seen the suspension setup on the 3 up close so I don't know if this is the case but there are a LOT of cars on the road today who have fixed suspension settings with no adjustment cams.

Does anyone on this site have a link to an online service manual for the car? That could tell you pretty quick.

Hmmm....that sucks. Does anyone know if this is the case with the 3??? If so, thats one more strike against another Mazda purchase in the future...... (I hate it when manufacturers make it a bitch to modify their cars......)

You will have a very hard time finding a car with a fully adjustable suspension under $60K. Esp. FWD cars.

"True Sports Cars" such as the 350Z/G35C, Mustang, last gen Camaro, etc, ect don't have this type of adjustability built in. There will be NOTHING in the Mazda3's class with an adjustable suspension I can almost guarentee that w/o even looking at their suspension. The RX-8 is one of the only sports cars under $50-60k that comes with a fully adjustable suspension. You need to get into things like a lotus, a porsche Caymen and the like before this comes standard. And as a whole Mazda does a good job with giving a more advanced suspension than anything in their class throughout their lineup.

But it takes all of ~$40 to get camber bolts or plates to give a car camber adjustability.

yea just buy the camber plates and take it back to them and make them do it for free since their last alingment didnt fix your problem
