Aftermarket Performance Chips

Hey guys I have been looking around for a chip to put in my 2006 Mazda 3I. The chips I have found do not seem legit at all. Anyone know of a good chip to buy for $150 or below?

After doing a decent search I haven't really found much options for tunes for the older mazda3's. I found a now defunct company and cobb or cp-e doesn't offer anything if it's not a rx8 or mazdaspeed vehicle. Looks like the best option is going to be an aftermarket piggyback system or a aftermarket ecu. Those options are going to be starting at 300 and just isn't worth it for a N/A vehicle. I would invest my 150 in other options. Sticky rubber, sway bars, intake or exhaust to name a few. For the economy type car as most mazda3's are I would suspect that a chip wouldn't do much anyway. maybe 15hp, maybe and that's not even noticeable. That's all the tunes usually do anyway on N/A cars. They lean out the mixture and increase the RPM limit. The mixture is richer at some speeds and rpms to keep exhaust temperatures lower to maintain certain parts for a longer time period, like the catalytic converter. Thats why tunes can sometimes increase mileage as well, but I'm sure it's minimal on such a small efficient engine.

So without turbo you can't get 50-60 hp from our 04-09 mazdas right?

You might be able to on some engines and model years, but I don't think it could be obtained from just a tune alone.

A tune combined with headers, intake, exhaust, pulleys, hiflow cat, lightweight flywheel and lower unsprung weight. These are options to look into to obtain more power at the wheels.
