04-07 Mazda 3 lowering springs

Hello.
My first post here will concern suspension and lowering springs.
The company I work for makes progressive lowering springs for 04 to 07 Mazda 3, all body styles, I can get them for a pretty good deal since I know the engineer in charge of the racing division.
They come in 1.25" drop and 1.75" drop.
Front spring rates are 310 and rear spring rates are 360.
They're the same between the 2 drop heights.
I drive an 07 Mazda 3 hatch with 33k on the clock.
Handles like a dream and the driveability is awesome. I used to drive an 89 Chevy Cavalier!
I'd like to get rid of some of the fender gap though.
I was leaning towards the 1.25" drop after reading a few threads on here about alignments, camber kits and increased wear, etc. I'd like a low maintenance, driveable car.
So does anybody have a picture or advice or comments on this height drop?
I want to keep the car as stock driveable as possibly since it is my DD, but I want a little more agressive stance and decreased fender gap.
Oh its got the factory mazda 17's with Toyo Tire Extensa. These came stock when I bought the car last week.
This isn't my first experience with lowering a car; my other car is dropped 2 inches with KYB struts/shocks all around on Sprint lowering springs with Addco swaybars and Energy suspension bushings. This is the opposite of what I want my Mazda to handle/drive like though; very harsh on Michigan roads, although super grippy ;).
