what does you mean by 1.6 2007? The Mazda Z-series is a smaller inline 4-cylinder gasoline engine ranging in displacements from 1.3L to 1.6L. Z-engine has 16-valves operated by dual overhead camshafts, which are in turn driven by a timing chain

Typically however....the hatch version comes with a standard 2.3 litre engine beccause of size and weight of the car style. This engine comes with a timing chain therfore no replacement is necessary. This is why I bought this car so you don't have to worry about timing belt replacement.

In the US the 2.0, 2.3, and 2.5 MZR engines all have timing chains. I imagine Mazda would have stayed with a similar design across the board. The timing chain is supposed to be for the life of the vehicle and shouldn't need replacement.

its timing chain, and have drive belt, drive belt is a part of maintenance.
