Temperature sensor problem on a 2006 Mazda3 2.3 Liter
2 Attachment(s)
There is this white line on the temperature sensor on my 3..
The temperature sensor is a round button located on the top center of the dash board. as you can see on the picture, there is a white line opposite of each other running through the sensor. Does anybody know why that's there? I have no problems with the temperature reading but I'm worried something may happen in the long run. thanks for your help |
I think it's an ambient light sensor for the HVAC system to compensate for sun loading.
But are the white lines wires, paint? can you tell? |

But are the white lines wires, paint? can you tell? I brought it in to the dealer a week ago to have it checked but my warranty was over and they want to charge me $109.00 just to diagnose the problem. Anybody have this on there Mazda3? |
its just a crack in your dash no big deal. just fill it with a little paint or put some black paint covering it. just be careful not to mess up the sensor.

I have the same line or crack and it appeared after I had work done at a dealership for electrical issues, I was just gonna use a sharpie to color it in. What does the sensor do? interior temp ?
