Splash Guard

The splash guard i believe its called underneath the engine is partially hanging down and must be held up with zip ties now. I went to the mazda dealership and they told me i must replace the whole thing totaling over $500 for parts. My question is, is it completely necessary to replace this and get a new one? Or could i just tie it up so that it can still remain under the car?
Also the other problem would be that every time i get an oil change i must take the back portion of the splash guard off so i can reach the oil filter due to the splash guard being put up a little off. Other than that i would assume its still fine to do its job as protection?
(By the way the reason the splash guard is hanging a little is because i hit a tire in the middle of the road and part of the splash guard broke, other than that theres no damages to it other than scrapes)

I cut a larger hole & cover to access my oil filter so I don't need to remove the cover. So you can do the same thing & tie wrap it otherwise.
