Mazda Problems

Hi my 2005 Mazda 3 has a problem, the turbo keeps cutting out and the engines shuts down, a garage thought it was a valve issue but now tell me there is some oil that get put into the catalitic convertor, this is empty and only a main dealer can change this and is very very very expensive, can anyone please help me with advice etc

regards
Frankie

You can get an aftermarket cat on ebay for $50, though depending if you can cut the old one out and weld it in, or clamp it in is what you have to figure out next.
It is true if you have any oil getting into the exhaust the cat can get plugged, so check the turbo and all else for leaks - or just if the engine is running rich... which could be a bad O2 sensor or something.

What does the engine shutting off have to do with the vehicle speed?
And I think any vehicle with ABS uses individual wheel speed sensors, older non-ABS cars used the single transmission output VSS you mention above.
