Loud vibration when in reverse 2007 3i

Hello all, recently I had an issue with my automatic 2007 3i. When putting the car in reverse there is a loud vibration that continues as long as I am backing, it is worse when the brake is applied. Also my driveway goes down a decline and is worse while backing down it with the brake applied.
I know people talk about engine mounts all the time causing vibration but I would think that would affect it constantly. Thanks for any help you can give, I have an appointment with the mazda garage to check it out on thursday.

it's probably the center rear mount, it slides into the cross member and rocks get stuck in between. it on affects when the car is in reverse due to the way the engine torques up. you can probably do it yourself if you can jack the front end up. it will cost you probably an hour labour depending on how honest the tech that looks at it is.

Thanks for the reply

Yeah it was actually the mount but come to find out it had 4 rocks around the mount that was keeping it from absorbing the vibration. So it was a cheap fix :D
Thanks again.
