clutch screeching noise
 

My 2012 i-Touring 5-speed, 65,000 miles, has a high-pitched screeching noise when I let the clutch engage in 2nd or 3rd with the engine under acceleration. If the engine is just at idle while shifting into those gears, the clutch noise doesn't appear. This noise has developed only within the past month.
There are no other shifting problems and no clutch slippage, no other history of mechanical problems.clutch
