Well, I figured it was possible that it could be the sensor but the most common reason for the P0126 is the thermostat. I figured I would start with that and if it didn't solve the problem I would try replacing the sensor. In my case, replacing the thermostat got rid of the P0126.

I have the same issue I was showing P0126 code replaced the sensor, reset the check eng light after two days it came back on now it's telling me something about the coolant temp, I replaced the thermostat I got from advance auto parts last night drove 10 miles and its nice and hot when driving but when I stop the air get cool, is the thermostat sticking open and not let the temp stay up or what, should I replace with the dealer oem part is that the problem, Thanks.
