2004 Mazda 3 for issues
So my fob stopped working about a week ago. I thought nothing of it and got some new batteries. That didn't fix the problem. I thought maybe it was a bogus battery and tried another nothing. Tried to reprogram it still nothing. Now I've bought a new fob and still nothing.
I can get the car into the mode mostly. Cycling the key on 3 times and closing the door 3 times does do something as when I do anything else it (shut the door or remove the key) the locks will cycle. But they should cycle twice so I can then press the unlock fob button. No dice.
Something is wrong with my ignition as I have to hold the key in firmly so the car recognizes it's there (dings with the door open) if I insert and release it no longer recognizes they are there and will exit/terminate the programming.
Another recent issue though I'm not sure it's related is my driver side window does not like to roll up (electric) I assume it's a short but it (unfortunately) will roll down no problem if I forget then I have to fiddle with the up and hope I get lucky.
