Numbers for Solo 2 racing
 

I'll be racing a autocross event over at the Tirerack April 6th (I think its the first official SCCA points race of the season)

Anyway I need to know a place where I can by numbers/letters for the car. There the magnetic ones that stick to your doors. My dad has some, I dont where he got them because it was 20 some years ago. My number in "78 HS" and I have every letter and number except the "H". Does anyone know where I can buy two (somewhere on the internet maybe)

I made my own numbers. They turned out quite well and professional looking IMHO.

I used MS PowerPoint to create the numbers. Use your desired font sytle with a LARGE point count. (I can't remember the exact size). I ended up with one number per page and two letters per page. I then bought from Home Depot a package of magnetic vent covers (found in the plumbing dept.) for about $8. Three sheets are included and are about 8"x11". I taped the printed sheets to the magnetic materal and with a steady hand cut them out with a utility knife. Overall time was about an hour. Since the material is white, I spray painted each letter and number with an engine enamal (it was the only thing I had on hand and it's a bit more durable than typical spray paint).

Thanks for all the info, but I just ordered some letters from Hunt Graphics. Hopefully I'll get them soon

How much did you pay for them?

For 2 letters it was $12.00 plus shipping. I thought that was a lot. I'm going to cancel my order and see if I can find a better price.
