Weve NEVER had an autocross in the rain, sure might even shit out for thsoe with stickies ;) :D

Yep it was Christi's FC. The rain didn't actually hamper anyone that bad. It was just during the 1st heat then it stopped for the rest of the day. When I ran. Bah.

LMAO I think Clint likes my FC a bit too much ;) Since Brann1999 (you talk to him Clint) told me that my pictures were posted on this forum, I had to sign up and see.. LMAO I'm like "whoa, my FC is popular" hahah.

Clint is so silly :) I think RX-7 Club took all your bandwidth, oops!

The rain wasn't that bad - of course it had to rain during 1st heat, which is stock class - and stop when mods came in. It was cool though. At the start of the line - it became a big massive puddle, and through the beginning of the course - it was another big massive puddle, it rocked! Although, I can never quit letting go once the limit hits .... I back off. I gotta learn to stop doing that, then maybe I'll get better times! :D

Terrance in the Cavalier is good. He has a bunch of stuff done do his car....springs/struts/lightweight wheels, motor mounts, intake, etc etc etc.

I'm fairly happy that I got third considering I have a 1.6, automatic, and at the time stock springs/struts.

Can't wait till next month.

I haven't talked to Earl yet, next time I'll try to find out who that is, heh.

Hmmm I thought motor mounts were legal as long as they are produced by the same manufacturer as the car. He was saying that he got them from a GM supplier for his Cavalier. Oh well it doesn't worry me too much.

Tallahassee has it's own autox but they lost their track in Tally so they acquired one in southern GA.

The track sucks, it's in very poor condition. If you like rock chips and loose gravel, then this is the best track you can get! I went there for May's autox and while the people were nice, I don't think I'll be going back.

ya dude, 3rd place is killer. I'd be stoked as hell with a 3rd place down here :D

But i dunno, even if the dude is a great driver, it's still gut wrenching to see a Cavalier that far ahead.....even with a Rockefeller bank roll, i never thought a Cav could handle well.

rowan June-26th-2003 10:04 PM

Cavaliers are all about torque. There are a few competing in Ontario and not doing too badly at all.

mazdaspeedwest June-27th-2003 12:55 AM

true, i know the engines are pretty strong (power wise, not longevity :) ) but i really didn't think the chassis could keep up.
