Thanks Mike!:) I'm actually leaving tomorrow (friday)

I'm not the only Protegeclub member that will be out there. David Avard will be in his 90 LX in STS along with his girlfriend Julie Jacobs in STSL.

And Jason Minehart would have been out there in his 99 ES in H-stock, but the whole" i have a job" thing got in the way.

Good luck getting out there next year. Show up at Petersburg next year!!;)

yeah I saw Julie Jacobs name in Sports Car Racer.

I will make it to most National Tour Events (hopefully). Gotta plan my vacations and money carefully next year with the little on due in December :)

David Avard wound up 11th out of 50 cars, with a trophy. Jesse wound up in 30th place.

In other news, Kevin McCormick won D Stock in his other car, an Integra Type R.

Toe Out

Note to first genners... Toe out in the rear is bad.
You're definately right about rear toe out. When my 96 Escort still ran (sedan: same body as 1st gen Pro), I ran about 1/2" of rear toe out for a couple of runs. Needless to say I gave me a good work out and went back to the stock setting.

GAH! I just read on Street Touring forums what happened. Hopefully you are ok and in one piece Jesse. Sorry about the ride, but at least you are around for another shot at Nationals....

What was the outcome of the car? Salvageable?

SilverPR5 October-1st-2002 07:14 AM

WOW! Jesse! You should write Mazda and say how well that car protected you. They might give you a new car! :)

Much luck to a quick recovery and back in the racing again.
