Gainesville, Autocross
 

Hey all,

I just moved down to Gainesville, Florida (from Raleigh, NC). I've been scoping out some of the local racing scene and there is a double race here in Gainesville this weekend (Jan 26 & 27).

I believe it's Central Florida Region SCCA that is hosting.

Jesse, you ought to come up to Gainesville if you could make it for one or two of the days. It would be great to meet another Protege racer in Florida. The course, is actually a 1.6 mile road coarse, so it's smooth concrete surface should be nice- and I assume they throw some cones down to make it officially a Solo2.

Jesse, how far are you from Gainesville? You usually race at Ft Myers right? (damn, you are spoiled)

Thanks for the info on the car club meeting. Do you guys meet every thursday? I usually have to get up for work by 6:00am, but I'll try to stop by this thursday- look for the Silver Pro- it's very "stock" looking, so try not to miss it.

My parents, and younger brother are coming down for the race too. Trying to get a little practice before the big Ft Myers races.
The drag race thing sounds pretty cool. I'll have to find out a little more about that at the meeting.
