Debut Road Rally
I just competed in my first road rally last night. Open road gravel/tarmac with 6 stages. I finished 4th in the beginner class out of 8 cars. We were in postion to do much better until we got lost on the final stage:) It was great, lots of hills. twists and turns, Ebrake turns on gravel. Almost lost it once.

Niceeee
how did you get into it? |
Oh sweet. Any pics? I'm scared of gravel with my car .. too new.
What event was it? Where? Is there a website with the results posted? :) |
nice! how long was the rally? I did a TSD rally few weeks back. It was 11 HOURS long!! Nothing be dirt and gravel. It was great! Can't wait to do a TSD in snow. :D

what's a TSD
and I'm jelous of you guys :p |
tsd is time, speed, distance. basically is trave from pt A to pt B at the specified time. it's a really fun event. you don't get to go as fast you could, but you do get to travel at a 'nice' speed. ;) It was nice, but I had to travel 10 hours one-way to attend the rally. but it was worth the drive. :D

It was a TSD rally. Here is the website of the club that held the rally,
http://torontoautosportclub.ca/ but no results have been posted yet. It was held in King township north of Toronto. It was just a regional mini rally. Although I think a WRX that runs in the Ontario Championships was there, he won the expert class with an almost perfect time. I don't have any pictures because we were running at night. Next time we're going to take my friend's 91 Escort GT. We'll probably alternate. I washed my car the next day right after the rally and touched up a couple of stone chips. |
