Thanks Patio. It was a kickass show. I have never seen so many cars under one roof :smoke:

Dean, from Mazda took a pic of my P5 for the 'Zoom Zoom' magazine with the trophy. Got to see the MS-Pro and I got to say I was extremely impressed with the whole package. Also scored an awesome Mazdaspeed polo shirt from Steve (Mazda).

Also be in the lookout for Mazda's new revamped P5 (remember the dark blue with silver stripes, turbo), it has a complete make-over. Its now painted MP3 blue with tons of pearl, a new BEGI turbo installed, new OZ wheels, all DG Motorsports carbon fiber ram hood, winglets, rear wing, strut bar, rear valance and roll-cage. Roof rack Candian style, four Scatt racing seats, NX Nitrous, and a sick stereo install with 3-10" subs in fiberglass from center console all the way to the back. Oh and not to forget the JIC-Magic complete coil-over suspension. It brigns :tear: to my eyes. This is going to be one of the best and most complete P5's in the country. Congratulations to Steve and Dean as they have put a lot of effort in this new showing.

Mazda is also interested in showing all P5s in their booth at upcoming shows, so all TX P5s interested keep in touch. Anyway, I will try to make it to San Antonio for the Nopi drags if anyone interested.

Will post pics later.:p

You have a nice ride there Mac D! Why didnt you have your CF hood on? I saw patio's ride too. I was pist, i wanted my car in the show so bad. I put in my custom cat-back with my new Ractive exhaust, and dropped it Thursday. But it was too late, I even had to work friday till midnight. So ill be sure to have it in the next show, by then Ill have alot more done to it. Ill also be going to the Nopi Nationals in a couple of weeks. Anywayz, im going to take off my cat-converter wednesday, the one connected to the header. I guy I know did it to his MP3 and got it dyno'ed, and he gained 8hp! Im sure thats not to the wheels, but still. He said he felt it real good at 5th gear. He told me I could do it myself, and that it should only take about an hour. After you unbolt a few things you hit it a few times and it should slide right off. Well from what he said:rolleyes: Ill be sure to have it written step by step with some pics, and ill post it as soon as I can. Lata!:D

Congrats guys...to BOTH of you....I really missed out by not being able to make it up there saturday....makes me sick that I didn't. do you guys know who won FIRST? was it a P5? if so did you guys direct him/her to the board?

Mac Daddy September-30th-2002 05:26 PM

Dont worry Patio, that P5 wont compete on any event, its a promotional vehicle. It will show next at the Austin New Car Show.

Thanks Sir Nuke. The 1st place went to a fully tricked Honda Accord wagon. It had a custom paint job, custom interior, air ride suspension, among other stuff. It was nice, but a little abused.

Citizen, I had my c/f hood proped next to the P5, that way you can see the work in the engine bay and still see the good looking lines of the P5. When you prop your hood up you block half of the car.
