Seat belt warning signal disconnect?

I recently bought a 93' protoge' dx w/ 120,000 miles for $2,500, and I'm very happy with the car. It seems to have many more miles left in it. However, I'm having a problem with the seat belt buckle warning beeper continuing to beep intermittently after the belts are buckled. Does anyone know which wire will disconnect the beeper from the harness under the fuse box? Also, I'd love to hear any positive feedback about the car I purchased.

Thanks,
Nathan

Ask Gro Harlem!!

Wil's got a nice how-to on that topic... I did it on my car (a '94dx) and it worked great... Very simple..

I can't remember too much of it off of the top of my head so I won't try to explain.. Very simple..

Connect 2 wires into the harness and it is done.. if I was to look at my car I could better explain.. ( it's been like 8 months or so..)

So do a search for Seat belt and see what yuou come up with... You will find his link in there somewhere and it will be Pictures and instructions, so anyone could do it....

I just want to say thanks for the info and the quick replies. This is really an amazing forum. The car is actually my wife's, and now I'll be gettin' some good brownie points when I fix that annoying beep.

Thanks again,
Nathan

I had the same problem.. My drivers side is screwed... I finally took it off.. had it disconnected forever than just removed the whole thing.. Sux without it.. Gotta get one soon.. My cable finally popped out of the track on it after awhile af trying to go.. the motor is good, but.. THe cable is all torn up.. it popped out and there was bare cable, and pieces of plastic sticking off of it.. So it could be that too.. Does it try to move??

jcon: nope, the seatbelt slider doesn't attempt to move at all. the driver's side is completely dead and the passenger side works when it wants to.
