ZOOM ZOOM ad's
Does anyone really like those ZOOM ZOOM campaigns?
|
The kid scares me, and I keep getting that dumb song stuck in my head. So, no, not really.
|
only the original p5 ones...
and the mazda6's... the rest i don't care for... |
I kind of like the Tribute ad where it goes berserk until they let it out of the garage. But it's still got that stupid song.
|
i thinks its ironic that mazda does the zoom zoom ads to get younger buyers who they know will modify their car but when you service the cars with modifications they try to void the warranty as quickly as possible (at least brown's fairfax mazda does)
|
I don't think anyone really likes it.
|
Well, the song could be better style (personal taste here), but it's not so bad, and I like the whole little kid imagery and the "zoom zoom" part. The commercials themselves may not be so good, but I don't really watch TV, nor do I care for the commercials.
But, all in all, yeah, I like the zoom zoom! |
I like the whole zoom zoom ad campaign, I'm just sick of the damn song. Mazda needs to start making better commercials though, like the ones that hyped the Mazda6 before it came out. That speedo one was great.
|
Its all marketing and crap like that. If people remember something for whatever reason, even if that reason is a song that is annoying as hell, then the marketing staff has done their job because at least when you hear 'ZOOM ZOOM' you'll think Mazda. But yeah, the song is stupid. :thumbs do

WTF.... what i meant to type above was that... i totally agree with the above comment... I took a marketing class last semester at school and the mazda "Zoom Zoom" campaign is most definitely recognizable with mazda... whether u like it or not
I was just curious to find out if anyone did like it.... and i know a few of u probably were thinking the same thing |
What are you all stupid!! with out the ZOOM ZOOM we would loose about 25hp.. next time your slow off the line just sing the magic zoom zoom song and watch your car just pick if self up, and zoom your off!! but you must have at least one zoom zoom sticker on it or it won't work. :boink:

<---- hmm, I wonder if I like Zoom Zoom :D
|
I like the song, what's wrong with it?
|
I like the Zoom-Zoom ad's...especially the song. I can't seem to find anywhere though to burn onto a cd. Anyway...here's a Zoom-Zoom commercial I found. Enjoy
Zoom - Zoom Commercial |
I thought it was 3 zoom's not just 2.
Zoom - Zoom - Zoom:chug: |
"zoom zoom zoom" is the theme song
"zoom zoom" is the catch phrase ;) |
Guess I should scrape one of the zooms off my car then.....I have zoom zoom zoom on the rear quarter windows

Something happened to me when I watched those commercials...I didn't think I could "Zoom" unless I bought my p5 in yellow;)
|
There is a CD single with the ZOOM-ZOOM song on it.
I know because my wife bought it off of ebay. It actually sounds good with a nice set of subs and an aftermarket stereo coming from a MAZDA. Later, Bill http://members.cardomain.com/rednecks_r_us |
I belive all car commercials should feature:
1.) Thier cars being drifted. 2.) The roaring car engine noise, as it is over 4500RPM. 3.) Showing us the car redlining. 4.) The gears being shifted. 5.) More drifting. |
I like the ads.
The zoom*zoom*zoom song does what it was supposed to do -- it makes you remember the brand. Chevy truck's use of Bob Segar's "Like a Rock" and the old "Have you driven a Ford ... lately?" also helped create successful ad campaigns. In contrast, can anyone remember the last Toyota or Pontiac :boring: ad they've seen/heard? Arguably one of the best car ads, however, was the Nissan toy car/toy doll ad that used the Van Halen track from about 5 years ago. |
Toyota? Yeah, I remember the "My Toyota" ads that had this *terrible* rock ditty with words: "Maaah Toyota!" While most of the Toyota TV ads had just dealerships with lots full of cars shown and people with happy faces getting into cars, there was this one ad that had the band playing my Toyota (all members of which looked like they got stuck in the 80's). And I thought that was terrible.

R u kidding me? Doesn't anyone recall the Toyota Sienna? They featured it doing this hardcore drift accross the sand, and said it did 0 - 60 in 8.7 seconds. That minivan is amazing. As for pontiac, I watched thier Grand Prix commercial a while back, i liked it a lot. They were pushing the car on this nice open road... But then again, I don't like domestic cars.
|
I liked the Protege 5 commercial where it was driving through a city at night. They kept doing close ups of the wheels in motion. It looked pretty sweet.

i actually likes those pontiac commercials cuz they always showed the insides of engines, differentials, and stuff while they were moving. Same reason i like subaru commercials now too!

"Zoom Zoom"
C'mon, you mean no one else gets in their cars and the first thing they thing is "Zoom, Zoom,Zoom?" I sing it all the time while I am driving. Okay, Pathetic I know, But catchy.

ProtegeGirl 00'
Actually I can hear the zoom-zoom song anytime I want. My wife got a CD single of that song on ebay. Just this past Sunday a group of Proteges did a mountain drive in northern Arizona. I had that song blairing through the tight mountain curves. Something about hearing zoom-zoom-zoom and banging corners just goes together. Check out my web page and read on page 2. There are some pictures of our adventure. rednecks_r_us......2003 MP5 Later, Bill |
Nice pics Redneck! It made me missed AZ even more than I already do (I used to live in Prescott). I miss having those curvy roads just 15 minutes away from home!:D

Phantom Cruiser
Can you see how the zoom-zoom song would fit while driving over Mungus Mountain to Jerome? Thinking about it I might have hit the mountain again today. Drive up, turn around and come home. 30 minutes of excitement. If you ever get back to AZ look me up. We are doing the Protege 5 Mountain Drive again next June. The first Sunday in Junethat is. We plan to get together again this fall and do the run again just for the fun of it. Any way back to the topic of this. I think the zoom-zoom theme sticks in your head whether you love it or hate it. Mazda picked a good theme. I just hope they don't over do it. Later, Y'all |

the name of the song is Zoom, zoom, zoom, and its by Only the Strong.
|
I must be in the minority... I like the Mazda ads...
|
I think majority likes it, it's the minority that's vocal :)
|
It's a good song, dammit!
|
...Of course I have to add my $0.02...
The song is average, I probably wouldn't turn it off if I heard it. The hold music at the dealership has it playing continuously. I don't even remember seeing any commercials lately. I guess I've been watching too many movies. But I love the zoom zoom campaign, itself. When I bought mine, I made sure to ask my dealer if the car came with zoom zoom because I love leaving hondas in the dust. |
