i know they watch miata.net regularly to find out what the enthusiast market is talking about. my guess is that is why the 2001 miata was offered in yellow.

If only Mazda Canada was this on-the-ball ...
Good one protegeclub. And good one Mazda USA for staying on top of the enthusast scene for more than just the Miata and RX-7.

This is some great news!

Hey Mazda - if you are reading this, do you think you could give me some special "ProtegeClub.com" discount towards the new MazdaSpeed Protege??? ::wink:: ::wink::

My #1 request to Mazda: bring over the AWD protege platform.

99&00: At least two different people from the toprotege have contacted people at Mazda Can. at different times asking about what we as a club need to do to become officially recognized by Mazda Can and linked from their "Culture" page.
Both times they got the run-around and no clear idea of what we can do. It just seemed like they were not at all interested in the fact that people are beginning to love the Protege as much as the Miata.
The next step seems to be submitting an article for the quarterly (?) newsletter sent out by Mazda.

Here is the Mazda Canada "Culture" page:

Still no mention of Mazdaspeed either...

Hey MAZDA if you're listening, how 'bout some MAZDAS with an actual powerful engine? You dumped all of your real sports cars, you planning on replacing those same cars, ever? Oh, and by the way, I would've liked to see the Mazdaspeed Pro's equipped with Turobo'd 2.5L V6's. Just my personal preference though.... :D
