opel in the US?

when i was with my family for brunch on sunday, i saw a car with an Opel grille badge and trunk badges. do people really import these to the US or is it probably a rebadged car? i mean if you buy GM these days you are pretty much buying an Opel somewhere in the world. :cookoo:

I dont know who in their right mind would bother importing one, expensive. . . but hey some people have money to burn

If you want and opel go pick up(if you can find one) a Pontiac Solaris or Saturn Sky. . . Opel Roadster anyone

The small Cadillac Catera is an Opel model as well.

The Pontiac funny-looking hatchback (~1994) was an Opel as well. GM owns Opel and has been using them. Holden of Australia as well - for the new GTO.

Nice cars - cool design (as Opels - the Pontiac was FUGLY.).

I read that Opel will be the new Saturn soon.
I dunno how old the car was you saw but back in the day I thought the Opel Kadet (Cadet?)
was a pretty cool little car.

First off Ive driven opels and there very GM.
Poorly made crapptastic cars like anything Gm makes.

Im talking on the autobond doing some 160 km/hour with the car drifing out of its lane everything shaking. Its a really bad car.

And 2 importing cars is very cheap. I think $500 was the last number. Just gotta wait the 3 months for it to get where its going.

$500?? It cost me more than that to get a car trucked from Iowa to Alabama much less internationally.

Last I spoke with Gary about importing an F6 from aussie-land it was going to cost me close to $2k.

Opel Kadet. Fun little box (my best friend's older brother restored two of 'em). The Opel GT - that was a cool little car!

Ozzyland is far away, the boat would need to go all around to get here.

Im talking from NY to the Netherlands, should also be able to go the other way. Drop it off at the harbor and pick it up at the other one. The less work anyone does the much cheaper it is for you. We shipped an accord, Ill double check the price though.

i would think its cheaper just to pick up a GM car, it'll be an opel soon if its not already. then if you really want an opel just put on some trunk badges and a grille badge. if someone needed a car badly, shipping would feel like an eternity and probably expensive no matter where its coming from, heck dealers charge you $600 or more sometimes just to "ship" it to their lot.
