mx-3 question

my friend has a "hold" light on light on the dash of her mx-3 that is flashing while she drives and i was wondering if anyone knows what is wrong? her speedometer also stopped working.. that she thinks is just a wire ... which she is replacing this week.. but we were wondering about the light.. any help would be great.

there is a button on the side of the shifter. press it again and it will go out. I had an MX-3. I'm not exactly mechanically verbal in the way of the workings of that button so I am sure somebody will tell you what the hold button does.....Nothing is wrong with her car.

i'm not sure if she actually tried the button yet.. i forgot to ask her that... i know hold is for overdrive or that is what i've been told... just curious but if that doesn't work any ideas?

Just call Mazda up and ask for the service department. I'm sure they won't charge u for a little advice!:D
