Mazdaspeed Protege5???
Has anyone out there heard anything substatial about Mazda bringing us a Mazdaspeed Protege5? It seems natural, and with what seems to me to be excellent sales response to the Pro5, I can't figure why they wouldn't. I know I'd camp out to buy one. Anyway, what's been rumored if anything?

i don't think it will happen. i've heard zero rumours that one is coming.
i'd be all over it if they did though. i need the hatch space. |
Aside from the pic that was on CarAndModel of the new MazdaSpeed kit on a P5 and insignia across the windshield. Other than that, ????.

I don't think that will happen either. Considering that Mazda already took out the fog lights of the latest MazdaSpeed Protege, the one shown at SEMA:

Originally posted by 90&00 Protege Mazda's intent is to have a MS version of every car in their lineup. That being said though, the current 1999-2003 Protege is being replaced for 2004 with an entirely new car...and it'll be in that model that you'll find a MS version at some point. this is what i'm hoping for. a mazdaspeed with a hatch in the redesigned car. that and the wagon version of the mazda6 should be out by then so i'll have some options. |

Yeah I don't know what's in it. Just found the pictures. A little less on the wing side and it'll be nice.
