I found a car i might buy
|
Well me being a BIG Nissan fan, i say if its a Nissan get it, as for this 300zx is it for daily drive, streetcar, or straight drag, in my opinion id get it ~$3g its quite a steal but be forwarned it might come with something wrong with it, if you have $40 to spare id do a Carfax report on it.

Those miles are up there, but who knows.
just too bad its not a turbocharged one. |
no way. $4K for a non-turbo car that weighs 2 tons??
what are you looking for? a coupe or a fast car? you can have many faster cars for the same money or less. personally...if you want a sleeper look around for a used (well-maintained) SHO Taurus....faster than that 300ZX and with forged internals and Yamaha design is very boostable to make crazy power. Any Ford/Merkur turbocoupe/SVO/xr4ti will be VERY cheap and run 13's with less than $2k in the total investment. |
not to thread jack. but im gonna be picking up a 93 SHO on monday, if not sometime next week.

SHO 4 t3h w1n!!one!!111!eleven

Yamaha FTW! My dirtbike and my sportbike(When I get her) are both Yamaha's!
|
SHO's are badass but so is the cost of upkeep. Maintain them well and there are SEVERAL over 300K miles on the SHO forums....and several over 450whp also.

its gonna be a "weekwnd" car to the insurance (id get fkd over with daily liability, im not even gonna mention full coverage at my age)
im also gonna be looking for a beater (probably a late 80 or early 90 pro.) not gonna drag or sleep anything maybe get some of that weight off it and definatly an aftermarket turbo... no way i'd trus a car ove 150K with a turbo im gonna carfax it around next week. it could be cracked, bearings could be all fkd up psi could have been tweeked past breaking point.. im looking for a completely stock 300zx |
the SHO im picking up has 167,xxx on the body. has a little bit of rust on the trunk. is in really good condition for the rest of the car though. rebuilt motor with 80,000 on it, i believe a new trans. is going to come with stock wheels and has the newer style SHO rims on it now with new tires(only like a 1,000 on them). buying it off my buddy, hes replaced and is going to finish replacing some other stuff before he sells it to me. so its a pretty sweet deal.
p.s. you think you could hit me up with some of the SHO forums rodd? ive been looking but havent found to much. thanks james |
Since we are talking about SHO's, How hard are these cars to come by?
one time i saw a newer looking taurus that asid SHO on it, they still make them? |
well im not big into the SHO scene. i would imagine that the older ones are easier to come by. i know they made like late 90's models, uo tp like 98 i believe. might have discontinued making them for a couple years. i see alot of older ones than newer years but they are out there. i think the newer rims the one im picking up are 96-98 rims.
