turbo Q??

ive read about someone puttin a eclipse turbo on thier protege, it was like a 94 or something. or even just takin a jdm turbo manifold and getting a turbo to adapt. but i have a escort gt its the same thing, and i was wondering, what the minimum is i would need to properly run the turbo? ive heard the stock computers can control up to 6 psi ? if so what else would i need i just want to little extra kick to make up for my heavy speakers. i dont really mind if it added 30 hp and more torque. anyways give me you thoughts i want to start this soon i dont have much money but i can upgrade after its on i just wanna make everything work the right way first,oh i also realize i need a bigger fuel pump heard rx7 or 300zx work

i don't think it will be cheap, even for just the essentials it'll prolly run you about 1000-1500.

Eclipse Turbo: $80 at junk yard
New Injectors (possibly off the same eclipse): $30 at junk yard
Exhaust/Turbo Manifold: $400
Wastgate may be able to fabricate one: $20-30 at junk yard
Downpipe + turbo back exhaust: $250-400
Hi flow intake: $40-60
Fuel pump (possibly rising-rate pump): $30-40 at junk yard
Sensors/Guages(EGT, oil Temp, Boost, etc): $300

There are a bunch more things not included here that will still be very important even if you are only running 3psi. I don't know if you can get away with the stock ECU and may have to get some sort of fuel management and that doesn't always come cheap. Some companies make piggybacks that just alter the signal to the stock ECU to trick it into thinking there is no turbo.
