turbo p5,mp3's time slips?

so does anyone have time slips on their turbo cars? i just recently clocked my car at the track and wanted to see if anyone had the same or better results that i had. i ran a 13.8 at 102mph

Did Turbo Performance happen to work on your car? I noticed you're from Las Vegas and when I was over to talk to Damon and Bob last time, I saw a yellow P5 with a turbo kit on it.

yeah actually they customed my kit. I am sending my car back over there for them to do a little more work on it. there were things that i found that might make the kit fit better. all in all their manifold design is nice.

You have pictures? I haven't ran or dynoed mine yet, but I hope for good times after I upgrade my exhaust, and turn up the boost.:D

13.8 isn't bad at all, Thats prob the fastest one ive heard besides corksports but that doesnt count. They slapped a GTR motor in a 3rd gen and stripped it clean ...Jon 93 lx

MyLowPro5 December-27th-2002 02:59 PM

what else do you have done to the car besides the the turbo boostinp5?

I would like to post some pictures but to be honest I dont know how? If you can help me I will, I tried looking at it last night but it was late and I gave up.

All I really have in my car right now is a t3 garret (8psi), 10:1 FMU, liquid to air intercooler (which I ran lots of ice before I ran it each time), racing beat exhaust, custom straight pipe (to eliminate 2nd cat., and 1st cat. is already gone), 1 stage colder spark plugs, ACT clutch, and some cheater slicks, and thats it for right now. It seems to be a good combo, but I am leaning out alittle still. thinking of get injectors, and a fuel pump, but not sure yet. (ohh I forgot and its lowered and rims, I like to keep it clean looking, JDM style.)

Ive been talking to FM alot lately, and they said they are in the process of making a piggy back computer that can have full control of fuel and timing. I hope they make it soon. I think they said its going to run like $800, but dont quote me.

If you have been talking to FM, maybe you should invest in the o2 voltage clamp device in the meantime. It seems to be working great for us with the FM kits thus far.

boostinp5 December-27th-2002 11:22 PM

Actually, I did buy the voltage clamp. When they sent it to me, they sent me instructions that were wrong. So thats the real reason I have been talking to them so much. Ken and I are working out the problems that were created by the mistakes that were given on the clamp. Well installing the clamp incorrectly caused some major problems. Real scary  I thought I blew up my motor. It felt like I lost a cylinder......Well I'm rambling :)

So Im guessing you have the FM kit? How do you like it?

LinuxRacr December-28th-2002 08:29 AM

Great! It pulls nice. Yeah, they e-mailed me an I reversed the wires. All is well now. I accually have one of the 1st 10 prototype kits from BEGI that has been slowly turned into a FM kit (pricewise) because of all the stuff I had to replace with parts from FM, Jotech, Autozone, and the likes.

StuttersC December-31st-2002 12:57 AM

How did you install the voltage clamp all messed up?

We put mine in backwards on accident and didn't have any problems. It is put in the right way now and works great.

boostinp5 December-31st-2002 06:16 PM

Well, the instructions said to wire the pink wire to the o2 side of the harness and the yellow to the computer side. (which it should have been the opposite) And when I tested the clamp out of the car it wasnt giving out the right voltage that it was supposed to be preset at.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but will this solve my CEL light problem after the turbo install?
