turbo is in and hauls balls

well got the turbo on. took a lot of work. i had fun doin it. i have to adjust my idle on my TB and i need to retard my timing to fix my knock at full boost. i do not know how i will wire the J&S because my ignition wires are ran by the haltech and you have to use those for the J&S so i dont know i will have to call them and find out. the car is well, a whole new car. last night i got on it a bit more it was cooler, still knocked with cold air and 91 and a bottle of booster. she pulls very nice and when it spools that fucker acts like on and off. the turbo and stuff look good to its like a "show-kit". i killed a mustang and a civic the other day. have not go to mess with anyone else. need to fix knock so i can really get on her. new exhuast for 15-20 more hp and install my egt, fuel press, tranny temp this weekend and she will be good to go. thanks for all you input when i had turbo questions. well there you have it, i said id turbo but like john said i change my mind alot but i always do what i say, just takes time at certain things. we are goin to TX to get my front end, project jeep begins again soon. they make a turbo for the 4.0's.. hmmmmm

damn that is sweet that you are boosted ...
I would really be carefull with that knock though .. you should look into retarding the timing and adding more feul or just turn the boost down .. until you have that under control.

best of luck and happy boosting ...

yeah hes running a specail but remember its not just the kit... mine took lots of work with the autostick. ecu shifting points, tranny cooler, timing and lots of fuel work. still not done. fuel pump, injectors, new maps, retard control, pistons rods just remember if you turbo THERE IS NO such thing as a KIT!

peace- trav

i will have about 5K in it and then with the new tranny that will be another 3500. but hey 350 whp in a go cart. great shit :D

Hey deck love the look of the hiboost kit do you think it would be a easy kit to fit on a manual p5 like they say can fit in 8hrs sounds to good to be true what do you think as you only indicate problem with automatic tranny ?

Mracer67 August-6th-2003 01:02 PM

whats up bro, where did you get the tranny cooler and most of the work. Like the ecu work and what not. I don't have tha autostick though, so i really don't know if that makes a difference. but i do know that i would need tha tranny cooler. Let me know.
