Turbo/Supercharger for 2.0l protege

I was wondering if anyone knew how much a turbo would cost after everything was purchased and put on... i know there was a thread that said 370 but i don't know what all that was for... also does anyone know the stock 0-60 times for a 2003 protege lx 2.0l?

BTW, I think this is what he saw:

Expect to spend about $3700+installation for a decent turbo kit. Try www.wagnermotorsports.net and www.hiboost.com for more turbo info.

Look on car-parts.com and you can usually find a wrecked mazdaspeed protege's turbo for sale, you can use the same turbo. I bought one for $750.

t25's are DIRT cheap. I can get brand new T3/T4's for about $450, but that may be larger than you'd ever need.

sorry for semi-jacking this thread, but if you had a MSP, could you put in a bigger turbo but keep the same pipes etc?

I don't know why you'd want to keep the stock pipes....thats a big problem on the car. Also the T-25 on the MSP is plenty large enough for 16-19psi which is WAY more than the stock intercooler and piping will handle.

Any bolt on protege turbo kit will run better than a stock msp.

hey chris, mid 13's on a hiboost kit making how much power?? I'm going to shoot for 13's also so I'm trying to see what sort of power I need to look for. I'm think I could easily match what they put out but IU'd like to have a number to shoot for!

I have a turbo kit for a 2.0 Mp3 that is for sale. It has a masterpower t3/t4 turbo, vortec FMU, type s bov, and deltagate wastegate. the intercooler is custom, and the header is Spoolin made.
we blew the engine running too much boost, but such is life when you get addicted to turbo.
I have some pics:

ahh, the spoolin' manifolds...

"Spoolin'---What to buy when you want the best but can't afford it and you need to settle on something inferior".

not dishing on you man but I've seen so many videos of those spool manifolds cracking and catching on fire and stuff...

dont worry, i dont take things personal. the truth will always be just that...the truth. that is just one more addition to my knowledge, i regret it being after the fact i.e the purchase of the manifold...i heard that he is not so much in business anymore, but hey i can part out the turbo kit, and leave the mani off.
thanks-Mike
