New fuel pump needed??

HI

I've got a first gen 1.8 DOHC.I'd like to do a turbo conversion.I've got a standalone engine management system.450 cc DSM injectors. And garrett T25 turbo from an Alfa Romeo 164.My question is:
Is it necessary to change my stock fuel pump for a bigger one, or it will work good in my confuguration??????

Thanx!

My garrett T25 turbo:

You can find it in a lot of Italian cars.

Yes. People often use the walbro 255lph pump, or the pump from a 3rd gen RX-7.

Thanx for reply!
I think, i'll use RX-7 fuel pump.Someone told me, that they're much more quiet than walbro fuel pumps.

And what do you think, how much HP can this garrett T25 turbo make, on my 1.8 DOHC?It makes approximately 200HP on the stock ALFA engines.

Yes u need a new pump, and it all depends on what amount of boost your running and how u tune it..Jon

Run an Inline pump. I do, and the reason I do is the fact that if you replace your in-tank pump, and your pump fails, that is a single point of failure that will jack you up! If the inline pump fails, you will still have good fuel pressure to run off-boost.....And it's easier to get to under the hood. I run the Pierburg in-line that comes with the Flyin' Protege turbo system. It is the same brand of pumps used in Mercedes Benz's cars. German quality. :bt: There are also other inline pumps on the market such as MSD, Walbro that cost less, so your options are not limited.

wont an inline pump increase the chance of vapor lock?

I think the T25 is a bit too small ....

Best to use a T3/T4 or a T03E or B or T04E or B

That is if you are shooting for 340hp+

I just bought a project car .... that i am putting a BPT engine in and i am sizing out turbos right now.

Can someone hook me up with some links to write ups about performance mods that people did to the BPT .... i just wan to know what headaches i will need to consider into the plans.
